Moo's thoughts on being alone
What does it mean to be alone?
It strikes fear into the hearts of many and means heaven to some. Talk to most single people and they will tell you they want to be with someone in the (immediate) future. Talk to most mothers of toddlers and they will tell you they would sell their souls for one night alone.
Today I had these fabulous plans to not be alone. My non-committal boyfriend and I were going to take the day off and do something adventurous. Unfortunately, as he does every two months, my non-committal boyfriend freaked out last night and no longer wants to be in this committed, non-committal relationship. Fine. Maybe it's the end.
So... today, being alone means curling up on the couch under a blanket and watching whatever I want on tv.
Sometimes being alone isn't so bad.

While sometimes the reasons for being alone can be sad, I agree that solitude can be very fulfilling. When you get to talk out loud to yourself, wear pajamas all day, make all your plans (or no plans at all) for yourself, and answer to no one, there is a sense of relief, or complete natural relaxation. Me time. It allows for you to slow down and enjoy who you are for yourself.
